The Office of Science and Technology was founded in July 2012. It is a functional department in charge of scientific and technological research, and the organization, management and provision of relevant services. It focuses on the frontiers of science and technology, and the scientific work concept of national key strategic needs; it distributes the key development fields of science and technology, organizes the scientific research workforce to undertake key scientific research projects and  makes significant achievements in scientific research. It also cultivates leading technological  talent, constructs interdisciplinary cross-platforms, serves national defense construction, promotes the science and technology to serve regions and enterprises and promotes the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. With the aim of increasing the level and quality of scientific and technological work and reforming the mode of organization and management of scientific and technological work, it tries to promote the integration of each discipline, and the development of new disciplines, promotes the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and industrialization of new-types of organizational management mechanisms, speeds up the scientific and technological competitiveness of our university, and effectively increases the academic reputation and the ability to serve social and economic development.
