Industrial crystallization technology is about preparing particles of crystal with particular functions. It’s the key technology for industry of fine chemicals, medicine, energy chemical industry, functional crystal materials, pesticides, fertilizers and food additives. It’s also one of the major supporting technologies for the development of national economy. The green purification process research center of Ministry of Education targets at the difficulties in product quality and manufacture technology of high-end functional crystals on international market, the innovations and improvements of crystallization engineering technology, the developments and designs of new intellectualized coupling crystallization equipment, the developments of computer aided application for industrial crystallization equipment, the study of green purification process system engineering, the study of rules and controlling measures in nanocrystal molecule assembling process and the study of biomacromolecule medicine efficiency development. The development ability of industrialization in the center is at domestic front-runner status and part of the technologies are at international leading level.
The center has research buildings and advanced platforms, which in total covers 8,109m2 and contains two beltlines, which form a first-class industrial base in China. The center is led by an academician and has many excellent young researchers as mainstays, which forms a great team of talents. Several foreign universities have signed cooperation protocols with the center and started cooperative researches and joint education for PhD. The center has been providing great technical support to the developments of green purification process in China.
